For the exchange of information between the different programs for the document management the use of the metadatos is necessary that can be used to as much identify, to authenticate and to contextualise documents as the agents, processes and systems create that them, manage, maintain and use. This allows to improve the compression, of the data and of the processes related to the document, it is the information structured on the distributed information, data associated to the information objects that provide a more complete knowledge exceeds where to find a information. The necessity to provide the open access or the exchange of information facilitates the location of and compilation of the metadatos, that allow to adjust to protocol OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative-Protocol Metadata Harvesting). This protocol becomes vitally important as much for which they are suppliers of data like for which they develop or they provide information services from the same, since it allows to construct complex services search by means of the metadatos that share through protocol OAI-PMH. Norm DC promotes two levels of codification: simple and qualified. The Dublin simple Core includes/understands fifteen elements; the Dublin qualified Core implies the same number of elements plus a sub-group of these denominated cualificadores, that refine semantics of the fifteen elements in order to recover and to locate of better way the resources in Internet.
