| BALINOR: The Must-Read Series of Another WorldThu, 01 Jan 2009 11:15:13 -0800 by suicunesriderPlease read the description for info on these books:Unicorns of Balinor, a book series by Mary Stanton, is the story of a country on another world, called Balinor. There are many cities and wildernesses in Balinor, and different countries and lands all around it. Some even say that Balinor is on the same planet as NARNIA! The main characters are Arianna and the Sunchaser, the princess of Balinor, and her bonded unicorn, the lord of the animals. The books tell the story of the quests and challenges they take on to battle the Dark forces of Entia, the Shifter. Entia had taken over the country of Balinor juring the war on the day of the Great Betrayal, when many betrayed the throne to join the Shifter's hunt for power. In these stories, Ari and Chase meet great compainions, some from their world, some from Earth, who befriend them. Lori is a 12 year-old girl from Earth (only one year younger than Ari) who join them on their journeys. Lincoln is a large collie, and Ari's pet dog. Dr. Bohnes is Ari's faithful nurse and Chase's vet, and Mr. Samlett is and old man who introduces Ari and her companions to Tobiano, a Celstial black-and-white paint unicorn lucky enough to visit Balinor. The heavans above Balinor is home to the Celestial unicorns; the rainbow herd of gods and goddesses that protect Balinor. Leader of this herd is Numinor, the golden one, and his mate Atalanta, the dreamspeaker, who uses her watching pool to watch over Balinor. Here is some info on all 8 of the Balinor books. Look them up to see their covers on the internet.Book 1, The Road to Balinor: On the day of the great betrayal, the Sunchaser's horn was hacked off, Ari broke her legs... and they lost their memory of their world! The Celestial unicorns sent them to saftey to Earth, and now they must struggle to regain their memory and find a way back to Balinor.Book 2, Sunchaser's Quest: Ari and chase have found a way back to Balinor (and Lincoln and that bratty Lori girl tagged along!) and as they begin to regain their memory, they are told by Atalanta that they must go on a quest to find the rest of the peices of Chase's horn.Book 3, Valley of Fear: As Ari, Chase, and their comrades journey back to Balinor city, they stop to go to a gathering; the time when all the animal in Balinor's main forest come together to have a meeting. The lion Vaxan announces that since Arianna and the Sunchaser have been away, the animals have started hunting eachother like they do on Earth, and therefore lost their ability to speak! They discover a prophecy that tells that the only way to solve this is to take back the royal scepter... and it lies in the Valley of Fear: home of the Shifter. The foxes Basil and Dill join them on their quest.Book 4, By Fire by Moonlight: Now Ari has the magic scepter (and the carved unicorn head on it talks!) The Shifter is angered by this, and forcefuly sends them two challenges: a Trail by Fire and a Ordeal by Moonlight. The hereos must first travel to The island of Deridia; a hot, dusty land completely ruled by the Shifter. There they meet a boy Ari's age named Finn, who regularily gives himself trouble by speaking his mind in the land of Deridia, such as saying how stupid the Shifter is. He and a Celestial Unicorn Rednal, a red unicorn that is actually Chase's brother, help them compete in the yearly Trail by Fire: a race accross Deridia's treacherous landscape. If they even manage to survive that challenge, who knows what the Ordeal by moonlight could be?Book 5, Search for the star: Ari, Chase, and their friends finally arive back in Balinor, and see that the citizens are starting to realize the Princess and unicorn Lord are back. They are becoming more strong, and want to fight alongside the royal family to take Balinor back. But suddenly, the great dragon Nayton attacks the city. It turns out he is angered because Entia the Shifter has taken his gaurded jewel: the Indigo Star! There are more promblems than that the angered dragon is making: the indigo star has the power to wipe out the Celestial herd! Now Ari and chase must travel across the sea to the Valley of Fear once again to enter the Shifter's castle and take the star from his very claws!Book 6, Secrets of the scepter: Now Arianna, Chase, and the people and animals of Balinor are almost ready to battle the Shifter's army. But Atalanta tells Ari that there is one more task to be completed. They need to travel through the mountains to learn the scepter's true magic, on the way they will meet clans of centaurs, explore a new city, and discover a startling truth.book 7, Night of the shifter's moon: Now Balinor is ready for war! Atalanta brings Ari and Chase to the beautiful Celestial valley itself, and wishes them good luck. For now they must explore the feilds and woods around Balinor Palace to find the royal unicorns and bring them back so they can fight! Then, it will be time for war!Book 8, Shadows over Balinor: Well.... just read it! Consider the airlines who charge their best customers, business travelers, three to four times more than the occasional traveler. Like L.L. Bean, know which level your customers put you in and thrive in the 21st century. What do customers want? Theyd like to know that somebody in the company is thinking, and thinking of them. Consider the example of grocery stores creating preferred treatment for the wrong customer. Is there a business problem when, inadvertently, the supermarket industry treats its better customers less well than the few item shopper? Related: joe murtagh the dreamspeaker customer service | |

By "internetworking" three types of knowledge assets, gain human capital without owning it...through new business models. Focus on meeting well defined existing and underserved customer needs Rather than making something and then trying to sell it. Record companies and broadcast networks traditionally held a tight grip on the $38 billion music distribution business.
