| The Exorcism of Emily Rose - First Five Minutes Sound RedesignWed, 07 Jan 2009 00:43:21 -0800 by weakening70592This is a project that I created in my Sound Editing class. We were supposed to take five minutes from a film of our choice and delete the audio. Then we needed to recreate that audio from scratch using sounds we found on the internet or recorded ourselves. The first clip is the one that I have added my own sounds to. The second clip is from the original movie. The programs that were used in this project were Sony SoundForge 9 and Sony Acid 7. Yes, I know that the dialog sounds like shit... That's what happens when you have family and friends record the dialog and not actual voice actors. Sorry. | "mal abrite" by PND Co. (better quality)Tue, 06 Jan 2009 18:53:44 -0800 by petulanPremiere: May 30- 31, 2008, New York City at Delirium - Multimedia Dance Evening by Patricia Noworol Dance Co. Performance Venue: Atlas Theatre, Tisch Dance NYU, New York CityConcept, Choreography and Direction: Patricia Noworol Music: Underworld "Rez Original Text: Anonymous recordings in Chelsea Area Music edited by Matt Oaks and Patricia NoworolVideo: Camille de Galbert Performer: Matt OaksLighting Design: Greg GoffCostume Design: Malgosia TurzanskaFinal performance video cut: Patricia NoworolMal Abrite, begins with vibrant yellow text typed along the black wall. The unknown author is not characteristically defined as male or female through the trivial conversation. Recorded spoken text, in a loud public place, commemorates moments in the life of the now visible solo performer. Although the dialog renders nonchalant airs, the performer intimately touches his bare chest. Trance music invades the space and vibrates the body. The trivial conversation questioning casual experiences ironically deliver a somber discovery of identity. This strong image of a man in a beautiful long skirt is accompanied by the slow carving of space with his arms. His leaps are bursts of movement that are very pleasing to the eye as the skirt sweeps in arcs. The performer breaks his trance walking to an upstage corner as the music fades. He exposes himself physically while sweetly singing lyrics that expose him emotionally. The audience witnesses his depth of hurt. Returning to the trance, he revolutionizes his self with larger.Mal abrite was presented in New York City at the Delirium Performances by PNDCo. and the Hatch Presenting Series.
