The event was a community wide menorah lighting celebration featuring a 10 foot tall collaborative children's art menorah created by over 500 children in the Milwaukee area. Nine children's organizations participated, including: The Academy, Camp Gan Israel, the Friendship Circle, JCC Gan Ami Preschool, Jewish Beginnings, Mequon Jewish Preschool, Milwaukee Community Cheder, Milwaukee Jewish Day School, and Pelz Hebrew School, Also featured were children's choirs, a mobile Chanukah kitchen by Cafe Osher, a drum ensemble from The Academy, and music by the Shimon Marcucci Band of Chicago.
